I have written, then paused and wondered, 'Maybe, someone's already thought about this'.

I have written, then paused and doubted, 'Could I truly do better than them?'

I have written, then paused and given up, 'This isn't a unique experience, I'm simply mimicking many who came before me.'

I have written, then paused and known — originality is a myth.

Our creations are etched in our experiences, shared or solitary.

Our instincts, thoughts and perspectives are grounded in the shared joy of humanness.

I have paused, gazed and marvelled at the ubiquity of humanity.

I have written, then paused and hoped someone out there also wonders about this.
